The Carteret County Mariners were created in 1990 and based out of Carteret County, NC.  All boats were built by members in backyard work shops except the 2 Pirogues which were built in Mississippi by Past Potentate Harry Smith in 1972.  There are 11 boats total.  In 1992 & 1998 they won 1st Place at SASA (Gatlinburg, TN).
