Units - Animated Animals

The Sudan Animated Animals were formed in 1976 with their first parade at the Ceremonial in Wilson that year.  The first vehicle the Unit had was two mules and a wagon.  Over the years the Unit has won many awards.  They are a favorite of the children, as the costumes represent such characters as Mickey Mouse, the Gorilla, Smokey the Bear, Donald Duck, Porky Pig, Shaggy Dog, Pink Panther and many others.  The unit has performed in as many as four parades in one day during the Christmas season.  The unit calls Johnston County Shrine Club in Selma, NC their home.
