                                                  Samuel Stacey Pugh

Samuel Stacey Pugh was born on April 28, 1968 in Greenville, NC to Samuel H. and Carol G. Pugh. He is the oldest of four children and has resided in the Greenville-Pitt County area his entire life. He received his education from DH Conley High School and East Carolina University. Stacey began working at an early age and continues to work today for the family business, Pugh’s Tire and Service Centers, Inc., which was started by his Grandfather in 1945. Stacey, his father and two brothers currently manage the four locations they have in Greenville.

Stacey has been married to Danette Braxton Pugh, for 18 years. They have two children, Samuel Colby who is 13, and Morgan Leanne who is 9. Stacey is a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Greenville, where he is currently serving on the Deacon Board and as Church Treasurer. He and his wife are also very active in the children’s ministry at their church.

Stacey was raised a Master Mason on February 9, 1995, with Crown Point Lodge No. 708. On April 29, 1995 he joined the York Rite Masonic Bodies. He crossed the “Hot Sands” of Sudan Shrine Temple on May 13, 1995 in Morehead City. He was elected to the Royal Order of Jesters, New Bern Court No. 145 on October 22, 2005. He is a member of Pitt County Shrine Club, served as President in 2002, served two terms on the Board of Directors, and was voted “Shriner of the Year” in 2002. He joined the Provost Guard Unit in June, 1995 and served as Captain in 2005 and 2006 and joined the Sudan Desert Rats in 2006. He served as Potentate’s Aide in 2000 and 2007.   Stacey also served as Divan Aide to Ralph Wingate, Assistant Rabban from 2001 until Ralph’s death in 2007. He currently serves on the Shrine Bowl Board of Governors, Member at Large, since 2004.
